New Development Planned For Downtown Barrie - Five Points


It's been a long time coming...

Santos' company, Advance Tech Developments, is proposing a 20-storey development, currently zoned for 10, and will include street level shops, an above ground parking garage, an events courtyard and a 16-storey condo, with more than 200 units.

City councillor sees this project being a catalyst for the redevelopment of downtown, and I definitely agree. The developer estimates it will cost $60 million to build and will change the intersection of Dunlop and Bayfield for the better.

The proposed city meeting will be in February, if you would like to let the city know your thoughts.
